We've posted a couple of mpgs from video that Deb took of Jacob
rolling over and playing turtle. These are each about 5 megs, so I would suggest saving them to your hard drive and then viewing them. Enjoy!

Well, Jacob had another visit and session from his physical therapist yesterday, and all is going well. She says he is actually a bit ahead (developmentally) of his adjusted age, which came as no surprise to us. Of course, we're more than a little bit biased—we think he's the smartest, most adorable child ever born to man and woman. Guess all parents think that! He's still a little bit stiff, but loosens up nicely once you start working with him. We're trying to get him to the point where he can play with toys on his side, and trying to get him used to the idea of sitting up on his own. The PT says that preemies tend to do everything very fast, so she worked on showing him the steps he needs to sit up on his own, slowly. He sits up fine if we put him in that position, but he doesn't sit up on his own yet.

We got a broadband Internet connection! Should make the uploads of movies and pictures a lot quicker. And we have some stuff to upload—I promise, it'll be soon! The connection has been very fast, but the cable guys came out last night and did something that completely lost our connection, so we didn't have access to the web last night. I haven't checked to see whether or not it's working this morning, I'm writing this from work, just told Deb how to powercycle the modem to reset it. We're having to learn a new way of doing things. So, our regular email address has changed, which is a very good thing since it'll cut down on the 100+ spam messages we get each day between us.

Well, hopefully the cable Internet access will be back up when I get home, and I can put up a photo update. I also want to film Jacob on his stomach raising his head, so I'll work on that, too.

Jacob had his monthly
Synagis shot today. And along with that comes a new weight!

10 lbs., 13 oz!

The boy's really packing on the ounces now! :-)

Hello, happy post-holiday to everyone! We've been pretty busy lately between cars breaking down, the holidays, and shopping for a new car. And there's not a heck of a lot new with Jacob—he's just growing and developing more and more every day! He rolls around like he's on fire, lifts his head up when he's on his stomach like a little turtle doing pushups, and loves to laugh and play. He babbles and screeches at full-power now, and he's consistently taking at least 5oz per feeding, sometimes more. He's getting so big, we're actually able to start dressing him in a lot of new outfits that haven't fit him. The other day, we took our eyes off of him for about a minute as he was playing on the floor. Next time we saw him, he was three feet away on the carpet. He's going to be tough to keep up with when he starts crawling! Time to baby-proof . . .

We've posted some
new pictures, and he's sporting his Bono shades in some of them. Can't wait for a bright enough sun so he'll need to wear them! :)
